Susan has been a leader and entrepreneur in sustainability since 1996. In 2005, to develop a deeper understanding of how to drive positive change, she completed a Master’s in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. As an educator, facilitator, designer and coach, she has helped thousands of people understand and enact positive change based on a whole-systems understanding of living within healthy social and ecological systems. She is the founder and CEO of Susan Garrett & Associates, a consultancy which helps corporations integrate sustainability into their business models, missions, and approach to employee engagement. She has over six years of experience in facilitation of efforts such as city policy development, strategic sustainability planning, conference panel discussions, and LEEDTMbuilding design. She first learned about Climate Interactive’s work after meeting Drew Jones at a systems-thinking meetup. She has followed their work ever since and is now thrilled to be able to facilitate using the En-ROADS model to help business leaders make informed investment decisions. In her free time, Susan enjoys making pottery, hiking and rock climbing in the beautiful mountains surrounding her home in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
