UN-Habitat is a United Nations program that works to “promote socially and environmentally sustainable human settlements development and the achievement of adequate shelter for all.” In light of ever-increasing urbanization, UN-Habitat conducts research, creates partnerships, and advises on urban planning and governance to make cities of all sizes sustainable, resilient, and a foundation for the self-fulfillment of all residents. The organization focuses on urban themes such as mobility, clean energy, resilience to and mitigation of climate change, access to water and sanitation, and more.
